Every holiday season, Shasta Orthodontics opens its heart through our cherished “Share a Smile” program—a tradition rooted in compassion and fueled by a deep love for our community. This isn’t just about orthodontics. It’s about giving hope, building confidence, and transforming lives. Each year, we select one or two deserving children or teens—between the ages of 11 and 18—to receive full orthodontic treatment at no cost. For these young people, it’s not just braces. It’s a chance to smile freely, to feel seen, and to step into their future with confidence.
The “Share a Smile” program was created with one purpose: to offer the life-changing gift of a healthy, beautiful smile to those who might not otherwise have access. We know how deeply a smile can impact a child’s self-worth, social confidence, and overall well-being. And during a season centered on giving, there’s no greater joy than using our skills and resources to lift up local families when they need it most.
This program is one of the most meaningful parts of our year. It brings our team closer together, strengthens our bond with the community, and reminds us why we chose this path in the first place. Watching a young person light up when they find out they’ve been selected—and again when their braces come off—is a moment that stays with us forever. The joy, the gratitude, the transformation—it’s humbling, and it’s everything.
